Earth Amplified with Ashel Seasunz Eldridge

Music is not just fun, it is a medicine that allows us to heal from the traumas that our communities have experienced.

Lady Justice

“I started learning about the statue in new york, which was designed after an African woman,” he stated as he explained the journey to put together the song Lady Justice put together by artist Earth Amplified.

The song is a tribute to women. The statue was a representation true representation of liberation.

Women globally, primarily farmers, educators, are the first teachers of the children. They are the first environmentalist, specifically in regard to family structure.

The environmental justice movement, climate justice movement, all these movements are not independent issues, and they are all interconnected.

Earth Amplified

Ashel worked with Green for All, an organization led by Van Jones, aiming to create environmental jobs for those most impacted by climate issues. He was an organizer around the country, to organize communities around these issues.

Earth Amplified, acknowledged this narrative and sparked food justice, global warming, and lady justice, all songs that came out in their album.

Medicine

“Let’s turn up the volume on medicine” he states, as he describes the efforts he is taking part off during COVID-19. Transporting food, to the unhoused populations, to utilize food as medicine.”

“How do you detox your body in a concrete jungle?”

Ashel is currently working with an organization that helps the unhoused in Oakland, by bringing in food (medicine). He shares that earth is providing a lot, it always had, and always will. Hope, in being part of an organization where you serve.

Essential Fam, the organization in Oakland, is bringing medicine at a time when the community most needs it. They can use your support, either by donation or volunteering. Check them out here!

Your Hidden Talent

When I asked him about the message he shares with youth, Ashel knew exactly what to say.

“There are certain things you do. When time stops. It could be making music, or maybe drawing. It could be telling jokes”

Find what brings you a job, what gets you up in the morning. The world needs people that are fully awake and alive.

Ashel Seasunz Aldridge
